Off Schedule

It's been five days. I was eager to type it down yesterday. This journal has a book review and some computer programme reviews...

๐Ÿ“’ATOMIC HABITS is a productivity centric one. (The author boasts about his credibility, something the book ๐Ÿ“—'Fuck anxiety' talks about explicitly. The authors rightfully believe earning the reader's trust beforehand is a nice move.) Coming to the main parts, aka what 'Atomic habits' narrates...

๐Ÿ‰1. Literally Distance yourself for the habits you wanna quit. Hiding the trigger objects helps.

๐ŸŠ2. Start small. Microscopic. Try in the smallest doses first. I'm trying my hand on video editing currently, and I'm doing it super slow. It'll become a habit.

๐Ÿฅ3. Associate one pleasant action with your goal. A good example was trying pushups just before lunch, as soon as I close the laptop. It's so specific the instructions, necessarily so.

๐Ÿ„4. Journaling, and maintaining attendance... maintaining regular progress. A day off is alright. Two consecutive days though, breaks habit.
๐Ÿฅฆ5. refining your system to get on with better habits is most productive. Like, hiding cigarettes and keeping the yoga mat in sight.

๐Ÿฅ‘6. The four laws : Make it obvious, make it attractive, make it easy, and make it satisfying.

Ummm... Do I need to read it again? I feel like I'm not crystal clear with the definitions.

๐Ÿ’ป Coming to the computer programmes... I tried my hand on Video-Editing for my short movie 'An Interview with the mirror'. Davinci resolve is not the easiest to learn. Hitfilm express can be simpler. Heck all the video editing programmes can use bigger buttons. Conversely I tried AutoCAD too. It's used to design models of everything. It was pretty good. Easier. If ever you wanna design your own home, do it yourself. Learning it doesn't take more than a week imo. You'll be proud of yourself with the design.

That's what I did for five days. Audiobooks and exercise, and computers and shows. I'll give you a recommendation... 'The Godfather of Harlem'. It's a Gangster show... Based on Bumpy Johnson. There's even a movie on him. It's American Gangster. I'm high on Gangster content. Not the violent part of it, but how those men dress themselves. I admire the authority they command. Am I phrasing it right?

I'll tell you how I feel about the more famous Gangster content in the coming ones. Laters world๐Ÿ‘‹

Interview With a Mirror sounds great!

I talk on instant messaging now. Currently Writing a script called 'Interview With the Mirror'. It'll be me talking to my alter-ego in the reflection. I intend to keep it a plain interview from the 70s. Buster Keaton movies were an inspiration. Also a random 'Marlon Brando' Interview. The production quality is not very good in those, however the story carries the show like a riverbed carries a river. Smooooth.

Marlon Brando is the guy who played Vito Corleone in The Godfather. I'll watch his movies in the upcoming days. They say he's one of the best actors. He was a good person too. Spoke much on equal rights and misrepresentation of the minority races. Even rejected a freaking oscar. On the evening he was called to the stage, a native-indian actress represented him with his words on some pages. She spoke Brando's words, about how the then-hollywood misrepresented the native-indian folks. She got done for that. Bummer right.
Onto more pleasant things... Mangoes never disappoint. Uncle got us a plenty many fruits. Straight from the trees... Someone was apparently selling straight from the tree. Couldn't taste fresher mangoes. The gift of summer. A friend so rightfully pointed that the sweetest fruits show in summers. That kinda blew me away for how right it sounds.
I got to finish audiobooks too. One of those was 'Way of the wolf' by the OG wolf of wall street. Jordan Belfort. It might be his first book for it reads like it. A similar book "Never Split the Difference" is clearer. Both the books tell you to
๐Ÿฅญ1. Keep a clam tone while talking. Like a late-night radio host/ FM dj.
๐Ÿ‡2. Know who you're talking to. Know his passions and religion. (And shape your words accordingly)
๐ŸŠ3. Tell him what kind of thing you're gonna say. Like, "After hearing this you might punch me," or "After our conversation, You'll be glad you know me" Basically make him hope for the worst.
๐Ÿ4. Mirror/repeat his last few words.
๐Ÿ5. Label his emotions. Like, tell him what the convo feels like... "It feels like you're not getting recognized," and or "It sounds like you're looking forward to fix this".
๐ŸŽ6. The word 'NO' from the other guy greatly forwards your convo in the right direction. The word 'Fair' is your secret weapon. End your pitch with that word. "It sounds fair right?", "it looks like a fair deal", "It's only fair if I stick to it".
๐Ÿฅ7. Ask open ended questions instead of plain Yes or No ones. Like, your question must have long answers, answers like 'yes' and 'no' won't do. 'What' and 'How' are preferred starters. Avoid the imposing 'Why'.

Would you Look at that! I remember seven freaking points from the books! It's such an improvement from the previous book review. Surely I couldn't remember evvvverything... These are major things to remember however. Remember.
I just set a reminder to write every four days. So, see you in four days world. That is, if there isn't a zombie apocalypse or something similar. Laters now๐Ÿ‘‹

The past two days

I heard two Audiobooks these days. Ali Abdaal, a man I admire, says listening to audiobooks in extra speed if you could understand just fine is the more sensible to do.

One was ๐Ÿ“˜"The E myth" by Michael Jerber. The next day, i.e. today, I heard ๐Ÿ“™"Zero to One" by Blake Masters and Peter Thiel.
Lemme summarise those for you. It's good revision for me too.

๐Ÿ“˜The E myth:

๐Ÿ”ฅ You must automate your business and set up multiples of those. Otherwise you're stuck doing a pensionless job ; the hardest one.

๐Ÿ”ฅMake the process of operation as simple as possible. Laymen must easily be able imitate the tasks you give them.

๐Ÿ”ฅMake sure to hire staff that has the willing mindset. Prioritise hiring them over someone who's experienced but stubborn.

๐Ÿ”ฅMake your business predictable. The same procedures (list those) and dress-codes. (I've heard hints of blue inspire trust, and Red Power)

๐Ÿ”ฅMake logs, to streamline the tasks maybe...its hazy in my mind. I thought I could make up six points but, that's all I remember.

           Now, ๐Ÿ“™Zero to One:

๐Ÿ”ฅFind something that can simplified and build your business around it. Wanting to compete with established businesses is harder and less profitable.

๐Ÿ”ฅTry to Monopolise your business.

๐Ÿ”ฅCompanies need to innovate as frequently as needed Is what I understood. Another book..."Built to last" chants so repeatedly.

...Plus Zero to one has the 'Think and grow rich' aspect to the rest of it. Motivational talk.

I felt sleepy hearing through 80% ish of both books. Almost slept deep with the earplugs on, but kept hearing...was half conscious. Like, I was sleep-drunk๐Ÿ˜„. Ha! But I remember a resonable amount of sayings from both of those.

I've been timing all my sessions since two-three days to be most productive. Oh, I read another book called "What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast: How to Achieve More at Work and at Home" by Laura Vanderkam. It's quite a short read. It put In my mind to do the hardest things first as you start... Like Exercising. I'm sleeping fine because of it I think.

YouTube has a very good tutorial on Autocad in Telugu. It's a four hour course I'm going through from some hero dude from "Computersadda.com". I hope to make some money from Cad designing a few months through.๐Ÿ’ป

I've Poems and Short stories to share. Saving those for later. Tomorrow now.๐Ÿ‘‹
