Family time tarnished,
Curse you Henry Fischel!
Devising a system so varnished,
Promising riches
To those who follow.
A shooting star opened my eyes!
And curses sang,
On you of schools,
And curses to,
The ones who followed!
A student's sorrow,
A student's morrow,
Left a gap,
A childhood hollow,
Curse you Henry Fischel!!
Invented a Midas touch and,
Ruined colourful tomorrows.
The story behind the poem;
This week were my tests. Surprise tests if you may let me add. Those were breezy enough, but equally keeping from reading poems to one my lady friends I'm trying to woo. Ah, the circle of my life😪.
Henry Fischel you see is the inventor of exams they say. I've read he was a professor in some university, and read in another place that he was a businessman of sorts. Only he knows. I'm sure his intentions were good and he had no idea how abused his good idea would be in the hands of educational bodies. Whenever I hear kids have no time to play because studies are hectic, I'm disappointed. If you're a teacher reading this, wont you please consider keeping your study to the classroom and give kids a chance to know their parents better?!
